China’s BAIC plans to produce 30,000 cars in Russia in 2023

MOSCOW, Apr 6 (PRIME) -- Chinese car producer BAIC plans to assemble around 30,000 cars in Russia in 2023, BAIC said in a joint statement with car dealer Major on Thursday.

“The combined amount of production until the end of the year stands at around 30,00 cars, and a total of seven models of BAIC cars will be presented in Russia this year,” the statement read.

Kaliningrad Region-based carmaker Avtotor launched assembly of two models of BAIC cars on Tuesday, and plans to initiate assembly of five more models until the end of the year.
